Thomson Publishing Services have been using many of the services that UTL offers for nearly three years. UTL have completed a range of jobs for TPS from simple single UTP point installations to complex fibre and multi-point runs.

UTL were the major partner in a significant computer room rationalisation, completely recabling the power and data and making recommendations as to the most effective configuration to maximise floor space, minimise disruption and maintain uptime.

UTL were also the major partner in a site-wide LAN rationalisation, bringing their expertise to bear to install new cable runs to all floors, decommission ageing network cabling cabinets and install brand new, structured cabling systems. These rationalisations had to be achieved out of hours and UTL happily turned up, on the dot, over a period of a few weekends and completed the job to everyone’s satisfaction.

UTL are great to work with. Their engineers are always polite, hugely capable and, in our experience, quick, whilst always observing our strict health and safety requirements. We also have nothing but praise for two of their key people – Tony Johns and Andy Hall. Both great guys and always willing to help, spend time discussing and understanding our needs and ensuring that our requirements are met. We would have no hesitation in recommending UTL to others. Their approach, professionalism, and desire to ‘get the job done’ to the customers’ complete satisfaction are refreshing and they are a pleasure to work with.
